Fall Festival at Yankee Springs Oct 2009

Fall Festival at Yankee Springs State Park

Oct 2009

Our family went to Yankee Springs Fall Festival for a long weekend. We arrived on Thursday night in the rain. It rained all day of Friday as well. A quick trip to Walmart and we got what we needed to deal with the rain.

The girls were able to do alot of activities from painting pumpkins, tye dying t-shirts, making a bird feeder and a really cool suds maker. We were able to decorate our campsite and at dusk the kids were able to go around the park and trick or treat.

We all had a great time and can't wait till next year to do it all again!!

What a Beautiful Sunday in March

I just had to write something since it has been almost 2 months since my last post.

Today is Sunday, March 15 and it is beautiful outside. We woke up this morning, Brian decieded to head out and see if the fish are biting. The girls and I decieded to take Jack on his first walk around the block on a leash. It was a beautiful walk. When we returned home, we thought we should go and see if any animals were out at John Ball Zoo. Since we are Zoological Society members, it does not cost us anything to go to the zoo. We got Brian off Lake Michigan and we went to the zoo. What a nice day!! Lot of the animals were out and moving today. Some were not there due to the season - they will be returning sometime this spring!! It was not busy and we were able to read the signs and watch the animals wander around! It was really nice. Sorry - I forget my camera at home so NO photos in this post. I will make sure to take it next time!!

When we returned, Taylor went to a friends house and Brian went back out on Lake Michigan, hoping to get a hook into something....last call home-nothing in the boat yet! Haley & I went to visit my Dad and Mom.

Well - I hope that each and every one of you had a chance to get outside today and enjoy this great Michigan weather!

Bye for now!!

Taylor's Basketball 2008

Taylor was in basketball again this year. She attended three clinics each Saturday and had practice with her team once a week. Coach Darrin was a great coach!! On the last two Saturdays they played games against all the other 4th grade teams. She did extreamly well and can not wait for another basketball clinic to start again!! Coach Goey (WO's Girls Basketball Coach) said that he may do another clinic in the spring and maybe summer too! Taylor will be watching for this news to be posted at school!!

Haley is 6!!

Yesterday Haley turned 6 years old!! She had a great day at Janna's and then at school handing out the M&M cookies. Today, even though we are in the middle of one of the worst snowstorms, we picked up her friend Madison and we went for some lunch at Culvers. Taylor and Nikki joined us too. Then we loaded up the car and went to The Edge. The girls all ice skated for over an hour. They also came home and Brian took them behind the quad on a sled. They all had a great time. Check out more photo's in the December album.
